Start of Filming for “Tschappel” – First Production from LAX Entertainment!

We are excited to announce that filming has begun for the first comedy series from LAX Entertainment!

In June 2022, Charlotte Groth and Maximilian Greil launched LAX Entertainment as managing directors and producers, a subsidiary of ndF:.

They are now celebrating the successful start of their first series, which they are producing in collaboration with Apollonia Film GmbH (producers: Paul Beck and Marius Beck) on behalf of ZDF.neo. The scripts for “Tschappel” were written by Marius Beck and Marc Philip Ginolas. Marc Philip Ginolas and Carly Coco are directing the series.

“Tschappel” is a Swabian term of endearment for a “fool” or “idiot,” and that’s exactly what the 18-year-old Carlo Brenner (Jeremias Meyer) is in this eight-part comedy series. Along with his best friends Blabla (Sebastian Doppelbauer) and Aydin (David Ali Rashed), he hangs out in his Upper Swabian hometown. Carlo is searching for himself, doesn’t know what he wants to become, and has not yet had sex. However, he has many ideas for how to pass the time in the village, though they’re not always good ideas—just like a typical “Tschappel!”

We look forward to the upcoming filming days and the final result!
