Growing up is never easy, not for teens and certainly not for their parents. After Jason (Jonas Dassler) barely survives a serious skate accident, the relationship between him and his mother Marlene (Anke Engelke) is put to the test. While Jason continues to feel invulnerable, Marlene wants to protect him more than ever. When Marlene decides to bring Jason across the country to rehab in Switzerland, begins a hurdlesome journey together, at the end of which the question is, how much fear can be allowed and how much one must be prepared to risk for freedom.
